T4L Comic Anthology Preview: Quango the Barbarian

T4L Comic Anthology will be at MCM London on the 23rd to 25th October.
T4L Comic is an anthology comic of fantastical, strange and sometimes insightful stories happening on and around transport in London.

Here is a Preview of Quango the Barbarian by Virgil Yendell and Rob Cureton. A silly tale inspired by the equally silly acronym for quasi-autonomous non-governmental organisation. QuANGOs have been criticised for being non-democratic and a bureaucratic waste as they attempted to solves problems dealt with by actual  government bodies. Important points but a bit boring. Quango the Barbarian has very similar problems but he definitely isn't boring. Come see him rampage through London "solving" our problems with brilliant and fun art by Rob Cureton of Orful Comics and Scene City fame.

We'll be selling some copies of the BRAND NEW T4L Comic Vol 2, containing 7 stories.

Come say hi! We will be at table CE13 in the Comic Village.

T4L Comic is a small press British anthology comic set on an around transport in London. In Vol 1 we had genre/influences ranging from Sci-Fi, Twilight Zone, Alice in Wonderland and subtle commentary on politics and society. So the scope of content can very wide and provides a great opportunity to use the world famous icons and imagery of London's Buses, Taxi's and Underground in your stories and artwork.

Generally we are seeking proposals for 1-5 page stories with black and white artwork. At this stage we would like a short, single paragraph summarising your story idea and an example of your artwork in by the end of January. Contributors keep the copyright to their work, all we ask is that we get first print rights. We at T4L Comic will cover the print costs and contributors will get a limited number of complimentary issues, all sales profit from T4L Comic goes towards the print cost of the next volume.

So if you are a writer or an artist and want to be involved please get in touch at t4lcomic@gmail.com We look forward to hearing from you.
